Forgive us for posting this, Rachel! (I don’t mind posting a pic of me in a dress to make it up to you…)
I think it is empowering to know that she has struggled with her gender presentation just like we all have.
Kudos to you. <3

NYC holds first Mr. Transman contest

Murray Hill hosted the event

Murray Hill hosted the event

Yep, that’s right. The first Mr. Transman contest took place in Brooklyn on Sunday, April 25th. If the video is any evidence, people had a great time! Murray Hill was emceed it, and Kastrophe was there! Original Plumbing also seems to have been involved.

I’m excited to see none of the silliness that goes along with regular “pageants” go along with it – everyone seems to [...]

Jon Stewart’s Friendly Fire Gaywatch edition

Does Senator Lindsey Graham need to come out of the closet?

Does Senator Lindsey Graham need to come out of the closet?

We just watched Outrage the other day, a documentary about outing gay politicians with anti-gay voting records. And on Jon Stewart he addresses a couple gay issues from the right and the left in his usual hilarious way. I think my favorite part is riding the immigration rainbow from Gaysylvania to the promised land of South Carolina.

But this is just in and worth sharing: GetEQUAL’s Dan Choi and five others have handcuffed themselves to the White House gates (Dan Choi’s second time!).

According to twitter feeds (#dadt) they are currently being arrested.

The cast of 'The Real L Word'

In this week that ends both the resurrection as well the the famed Dinah Shore weekend gays and lesbians are tired and news is thin. Gender binary ends: Australia's bold new move towards gender freedom

Norrie is officially acknowledged as "zie", photo from the SMH

Coo-eee mate! I love Australians and I love Australia. A huge, far away country, with a small population (18 million) yet some of the most diverse, welcoming and radical queer communities I have ever been involved in.
The year I spent there was the most liberating of my life and so it is no surprise to me that Australia has just [...]
