Happy St. Patricks Day Portland! What are you doing tonight? He has a celtic tattoo…proof enough he MUST be Irish Gays and dykes seem to have a love hate relationship with St. Patrick’s Day…we love the drinking, the dancing, the getting dressed in funny clothes and the sexy Irish accents, but not so much the catholic church and the being banned from parades. But for once, I’m not gonna go on [...] FAME/Gay Pizza/Slice celebrates first birthday Another gay party birthday! The variably named nopo queer night with a firm grip on Wednesdays turns 1 year old tonight. Congratulations! DJ Slutshine will have a special appearance, as well as regular DJ Party Martyr and Chelsea Starr. Performances by Dexter Flowers & Dusty Springfeelings 9-late (but really it’s more like 11pm-late) Like Hot Pink Mass at the Fez Ballroom late, but still in: If you’re looking for something queer and fabulous to do tonight because you didn’t get enough even after a big Blow Pony last night, head to the Fez Ballroom! HOT PINK MASS is “a church for weirdos, perverts and those who live the dream” featuring a bunch of local queer artists. One night only. 2 people like this post. I Love Your Stuff! Tonight is a busy night! We suggest the following… Start off at “I love your stuff S*express Y*ourself”. DJ’s Freddie Fagula and No-No will be spinning and it’s a great pre-funk event. But who is complaining when you get to DO THE DARK? Indeed, after the demise of the fabu “FRUITCAKE”, do the dark is hitting inner NE this Thursday with DJs Count Fagula (FRUITCAKE) and Chelsea Starr (DOUBLE DOWN) . Cheap wells and $2 PBRs. No cover before 10pm, $3 after. It’ll be at the Tonic Lounge [...] funner than this One of Portland’s favourite queer nights, gaycation, is turning an amazing, post toddleresque total of 4 years old! Given the short lifespan of queer nights in this city, we’re very happy that Gay Cay is around and going stronger ever. Come celebrate with Mr Charming, DJ Snowtiger and special guest KIM ANN FOXMAN (of Hercules & Love Affair). Expect tunes that will keep you on the dancefloor, wall [...] HEARTTHROB: gay people throb and have hearts too, you know We all know that valentines day is a bunch of silly stuff, sillier than silly string, not quite as silly as, say, Tiger Woods text messages or Donald Trump’s toupee but still, pretty silly. Double Down Gets Raided! Welcome back from the bay! (at least temporarily) DJ Puppet, (who founded the original Booty night!!) will be joining local heroes Mr Charming (Gaycation) and Stormy (DeLicious, amongst others) on the wheels of steel at Double Down on Saturday night! Dykes, dudes, queers, fags, drags, pirates, cats? Shiver me’ timbers, get down and boogie It will be funn! 21+/3$ cover Just a quick note to let you know that the popular lounge night “GLOSS” @ Invasion is sadly taking an indefinite break due to Carlee’s busy schedule. We hope GLOSS will return in the future (those lavender flavoured drinks were fabu) and we’ll be sure to let you know if it does… Like Pop Tart Kittehs might show up too Come out and shake your tailfeather with some queer girls (and other fine people)! DJ Nolita and Chelsea Starr will be on the decks, and there will be a signature $3 cocktail until 11pm. The best way to beat this windy cold weather is to come out and have a dance! It also means that because of their sheer number I cannot preview all that I would like, but each are in the calendar and I want to give you a quick heads up on the ones you absolutely should not miss. Tonight If you don’t already have plans be sure to check out Poison Waters Notorious Noel [...] Newest queer night on the scene, Confession, at Jinx (232 NW 12th Ave) will gather the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence tomorrow and every Wednesday to listen to all your sins. Billing itself as the hippest new joint, which seems appropriate for its Pearl location, 10% of all proceeds go back to the Sisters. Like |
