The storied Portland dyke bar has officially announced closure (except in case of a miracle) via it’s website citing the large overhead associated with running such a cavernous club, the decline in attendance, [...]  Prop 8 Ban Overturned! OMG AMAZING NEWS GAYS! Federal judge has overturned the voter approved ban on “same sex marriage”, also known as prop 8. An appeal is expected but this is a WHOLE NEW BALLGAME!!  BRO campaigns for Measure 36 repeal Localgay rights organisation, Basic Rights Oregon (BRO) is launching a new ad campaign, which begun by showing ads on TV as recently as last week. (If you have seen them, please comment!) Next to showing ads of long-time monogamous gay couples on TV, their campaign involves hitting the streets, engaging in conversations, and handing out leaflets. 4 people like this post.

 Portland Weather…it's getting better! Do I dare post this? Hard to believe, but the weather forecast for tomorrow is up to a staggering 94 degrees! Considering I was having drinks with a friend at the Bye and Bye last week and could see my breath, this is unbelievable. Time for a quick-and-dirty summer guide to queer Portland. Ah, beach life. A great place to go and be amongst your fellow queers [...]  Gay Cat Wow – what a weekend. I don’t know about you, but I’m still recovering, and finding glitter in unexpected places. This year’s Pride was an amazing experience for me. Five nights, ten parties, two marches, and zero gay bashings or homophobic incidents (as far as we know).
